Burma's Air Bagan launches Rangoon-Singapore service
PRIVATE Burmese airline Air Bagan has started service to Singapore's Changi Airport.
Air Bagan plans to operate 14 weekly scheduled flights between Singapore and Rangoon using an Airbus 310-200 aircraft. The carrier's daily flight will depart from Rangoon (Yangon) at 1100 hrs and arrive in Singapore at 1500 hrs. The return flight will depart from Singapore at 1610 hrs and arrive in Rangoon at 1720 hrs.
Air Bagan joins two other airlines at Changi Airport in offering passenger flights to Rangoon. SilkAir operates 28 weekly scheduled flights between the two cities, while Jetstar Asia Airways operates six weekly scheduled flights. With Air Bagan, there will now be 48 weekly scheduled flights between Singapore and Rangoon, said a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
