Dragonair to re-commence flights to Kathmandu December 2

DRAGONAIR has announced it is re-launching scheduled service to Nepal's capital, Kathmandu December 2, flying four times a week using Airbus A320s.

Flight KA100 leaves Hong Kong 1855 hrs Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays arriving Kathmandu 2205 hrs. Flight KA101 leaves Kathmandu 2205 hrs Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays arriving Hong Kong 0535 hrs.

As a member of the Cathay Pacific Group, Dragonair serves niche markets in Asia in addition to its core mainland Chinese market, said a company statement. Since the airline's integration, services have been launched to Phuket and Busan in South Korea, with new operations to Fukuoka and Sendai in Japan commencing October 28.

"We are delighted to be flying back to Kathmandu, a destination we first started serving in 1989," said Dragonair CEO Kenny Tang.

Dragonair is a Hong Kong airline with 31 passenger aircraft and six freighters serving 31 regional destinations, including 21 cities on the mainland.
