Sinotrans Air, NRS set up logistics joint venture

SINOTRANS Air Transportation Development Co and the US's National Retail Systems Inc have set up a logistics joint venture named SinoNRS, reports Xinhua.

The joint venture registered in Guangzhou will provide logistics solutions for American retailers importing goods from China, the report said.

SinoNRS will make use of Sinotrans Air's network in China and NRS' in the US to establish a seamless logistics link from factories in mainland China to retail stores in the US, the report said.

American retailers have been trying to reduce shipping time and bring down supply chain cost. "As there is no competitors with both strong service capacity in China and good retail logistics experience in the US, co-operation between Sinotrans Air and NRS has a promising future, " said Zhang Jianwei, president of Sinotrans.

NRS is a leading retail logistics service provider in the US providing services of trucking, warehousing, container transportation and cargo distribution.
