FEDEX Express (FedEx) has extended cut-off and package-ready times by up to five hours for its same-day, multiple-location pickup service in Hong Kong.

The upgrade affects international priority shipments destined for addresses in Asia, Europe and the US, providing greater flexibility and time to arrange packages and paperwork. Call-in, cut-off times and package-ready times will be extended to 16 hours.

FedEx said the multiple-location pickup service allowed customers to have shipments and related paperwork picked up from different locations, consolidated, and loaded onto aircraft for same-day departure.

Customers can complete air waybills at one location, while FedEx couriers collect shipments around Hong Kong.

"Service enhancements such as this will help improve the competitive edge of our customers in the global marketplace," said Clifton Chua, managing director, FedEx Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines. "With Hong Kong evolving into a high value-added service industry, FedEx's reliable, time-definite services will become even more crucial in supporting the development of the economy."
