China Southern Airlines recently launched a service between Guangzhou and Delhi, the first direct service from Guangzhou and the fastest between China and India, Logistics Week reported.
China Southern will deploy B757s on the five and a half hour flights, departing Guangzhou Baiyun at 1755 hrs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and arriving at 2055 hrs local time.
Return flights depart Delhi at 2255 hrs the same day and arrive in Guangzhou at 0640 hrs of the next day, the report said.
China Southern planned to launch 10 international service from Guangzhou this year and now six of them have been in operation, including flights to Katmandu, Dubai, Yangon, Puket, Siem Reap and Delhi service.
The other four services will be launched later this year, including the Guangzhou-Vientiane service to be launched in November and the Sapporo, Luanda and Sendai services to be launched in December, the report said.
China Southern will develop an air service network covering 150 cities in 22 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Oceania by 2010 with its Guangzhou services covering 36 international destinations from today's 19 destinations, with 220 weekly flights, the report said.
