CENTRAL China's city of Chongqing has opened its first public bonded warehouse for air cargo, Xinhua reported.
The warehouse covering 2,000 square metres is located inside the bonded logistics centre at the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and will be used for the storage of imports, exports, transhipments, and also has fuel and maintenance facilities for aircraft.
The Chongqing Airport Bonded Logistics Centre covers an area of 1.5 hectares, with a warehouse space of 5,000 square metres and has a capacity of 100,000 tons a year and can meet the needs of Boeing 747 freighters.
