Hactl's November throughput sets new monthly record

HACTL (Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals) announced another monthly record with a November throughput of 250,743 tonnes, up 2.4 per cent year on year, and the highest ever posted.

"We are indeed pleased to see another record-breaking month for Hactl, further to the earlier months of September and October in which we already set new daily and weekly records respectively," said Hactl marketing chief Lilian Chan.

"The high cargo tonnage handled by Hactl in the past three months is a clear reflection of our ability to handle huge volumes of cargo efficiently and smoothly. Airlines can continue to count on our integration of experience, knowledge and dedication, providing them with the most innovative cargo solutions and suiting their long-term growth," Ms Chan added.

For the first 11 months to November, cumulative throughput was 2,393,610 tonnes, up 2.7 per cent year on year. Exports stood at 149,600 tonnes for November and 1,348,905 tonnes for the first 11 months, up 3.3 per cent and 2.9 per cent year on year respectively.

Import volume for November was 60,942 tonnes, up 0.6 per cent while the cumulative import volume for the first 11 months was 625,489 tonnes, down 0.9 per cent.

Transshipment volume was 40,201 tonnes for November and 419,216 tonnes for the first 11 months, up 2 per cent and 8.2 per cent year on year respectively.
