JAPAN Airlines International has launched a new scheduled chartered flight service from Hong Kong to Tokyo's Haneda International Airport, Logistics Week reported.
Taking off at late night and arriving at Tokyo in early morning has made the new service popular among tourists to Japan and has brought a seat reservation rate of 90 per cent in July.
Haneda Airport was approved to operate late night service in June last year. JAL's rival All Nippon Airways has been operating such a service since April this year. JAL's expansion into the market will make competition fiercer.
