Kuehne + Nagel sets up own offices Greece under brand name

REPRESENTATIVES attending the Kuehne + Nagel group annual meeting in Greece earlier this month have decided to establish Kuehne + Nagel AE to serve the Greek market with a full range of logistics services provided under the group brand name.

The new company will be headquartered in Athens and will operate branches in Thessaloniki and Attica.

As a result Klaus Herms, the chief executive officer of Kuehne + Nagel International AG, has bid farewell to Kriton Ioannidis, the long-time president and CEO of Proodos SA, and to its board member Manfred Reuter.

"The company has been firmly positioned in the market and offers a platform for continued growth," said Mr Herms, who revealed in a company statement that the objective is to continue the good performance of Proodos in Greece under the Kuehne + Nagel brand.

The new managing director of Kuehne + Nagel AE is Frank Lehner.
