Hongkong Post, TNT sign MoU

TNT and Hongkong Post last month inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will allow the two companies to better serve Hong Kong's booming retail market segment.

The two parties will also explore business opportunities in emerging markets. The MoU was signed in Hong Kong by Peter Bakker, chief executive offi cer, TNT N.V., Ambrose Linn, managing director, TNT Hong Kong and Tam Wing-Pong, Postmaster General, Hongkong Post.

Under the MoU, TNT Express has appointed Hongkong Post as its service agent in HKSAR to enhance TNT service coverage by using the Hongkong Post's comprehensive Hong Kong retail network. As TNT does not operate any retail outlets in Hong Kong the appointment will signifi cantly enhance its retail business in the region.
