In the first half of 2007, China's ship export volume hit a record high of US$5.49 billion, up 61% year on year, according to the General Administration of Customs (GAC). China's shipbuilding industry scored an output value of RMB 101.7 billion (US$13.4 billion) in the first six months, up 48% from the same period last year.
