The construction of the Chengdu Railway Container Center and a container logistics park in Chengdu has been approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources of China.
It will be very substantial. For example, the railway container center will cover 3,000 acres and will cost $264.7 million. Construction should start in October of this year. The Chengdu International Container Logistics Park will also be constructed pretty much at the same time.
Both the projects are expected to be completed in 2020 although they will be opened in a three stage process. When finished it will make the Chengdu International Container Logistics Park the largest inland port in Western China. Our illustration is of Chengdu but not of the Logistics Park. That has not, as yet, been built.
