CUSTOMS at Qinzhou, border city located in south western China's Guangxi Autonomous Region, handled 260,800 tons of border trade in August, a surge of 214.8 per cent compared to the corresponding month in 2006.
The value of the trades soared 119.5 per cent to US$15.43 million, Xinhua reported. From January to August, Qingzhou's border trade increased 158 per cent to 1.44 million tons in volume and rose 91.7 per cent to $82.9 million in value.
