Maersk to handle boxes through Chongqing's Cuntan Container Terminal
MAERSK will take Cuntan Container Terminal in Chongqing as its transit hub in Southwest China, according to a co-operation agreement between Maersk China and Chongqing Port Logistics Group.
Twenty per cent of Chongqing container volume has been handled by Maersk and the figure will continue to grow as a result of the co-operation between the two, a report of Xinhua said.
With Maersk's support, Chongqing will be able to secure sufficient container volume, thus boosting the development of container business in the western Yangtze River city, the report said.
