SOUTHWEST China's Guangxi Autonomous Region handled US$8 billion of foreign trade from January to September, a surge of 42 per cent year on year, Xinhua reported.
The significant increase in Guangxi's trade value was driven by transshipments from outside the province. During this period, transshipment from outside the region valued US$4.47 billion, up 57.8 per cent, and accounted for 55.3 per cent of the Guangxi trade value total. This cargo was mostly shipped to or from Australia, ASEAN countries, Brazil and India.
