RUSSIA's Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) logistics provider, Soyuztranslink (STL), of Kazakhstan, has opened an office in Singapore to expand its presence in Southeast Asia.

"Our new office will enable STL to provide enhanced services to the CIS and Central Asia for our customers in the region. Singapore will also be an important addition to our growing network of offices in China, Iran, India and CIS, which will help us deliver a broader range of services in southeast Asia," said Erlan Dikaenbayev, managing director of STL.

The newly opened STL Singapore office is located near Changi Airport and the Port of Singapore, and offers a range of services including air- and sea freight transportation, warehousing, distribution, consolidation and other value-added services.

STL has opened offices in India, Iran and Dubai in the last year as trade booms with the resource-rich CIS and central Asia.

STL provides freight forwarding to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and Russia through gateways in Qingdao as well as through the port of Bandar Abbas in Iran. It has also established network of partners in Europe, US and other parts of the world, the release added.
