BOTH Hebei and Henan provinces the two neighbouring provinces, saw rapid growth in foreign trade in the first three quarters of this year, Logistics Week reported.
Boosted by strong growth of steel export and iron ore import, foreign trade value of Hebei province surged 35.5 per cent during the first nine months of the year to US$18.2 billion, approaching the total foreign trade value in 2006, the report said.
And that of Henan province also surged 31.6 per cent to $9.35 billion. Up to September this year, Henan had kept its monthly foreign trade value above $1 billion for six consecutive months, the report said.
