A two-day training programme on logistic support system (LSS) was organised at the Director General Health Services office here Thursday by WHO (World Health Organization) on the request of DG Health Dr Aslam Chaudhry. This training programme was attended by 28 participants, including pharmacists, computer operators and storekeepers form the offices of DG (Health), EDO (Health), Teaching hospitals and Medical Store Department Punjab. DG Dr Aslam Chaudhry stressed the need to bridge gap between the management of essential drugs and logistics by observing communicable disease surveillance.
The participants were trained on the LSS designed to manage all incoming supplies and to classify them at the point of entry into the organisation as quickly as possible.
