Aker, FLC West transaction cleared

FLC West has received approval from Ukraine authorities to come in as a 70 percent shareholder in three of Aker Yards' shipyards in Germany and Ukraine.

Aker said that with all approvals from regulatory authorities in place the transaction will be completed by the end of July, affecting its third quarter financial results. The Norway-based shipyard said it would provide further information regarding the final financial effects of the transaction during its second quarter financial presentation on Aug. 8.
