APL's container train service in India has begun a weekly service to the northwestern port of Mundra, the Hindu Business Line reported last week.

APL India Linx, a joint venture between APL and India-based HIPE, previously offered six weekly services between Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai. Now a new service has been offered to the fast-growing Mundra, a privately operated port in the state of Gujarat that has the deepest draft of any port in the country. Transit time from Delhi to Mundra will be 60 hours.
