NYK Line Pakistan opens for business

NYK has recently opened an office in Pakistan.

A company statement explained the new unit, NYK Line Pakistan, has been established to respond to increasing demand in the region, and is the group's "13th regional shipping agent in Asia".

Mats Jansson, president and CEO of the company in Pakistan, said: "We have been enjoying a good co-operation and support from J Lauritzen. We regret their decision to leave the company as well as the reefer business but still we respect their standpoint, and wish them great success in their new strategy. Since we now are full members of NYK family we look forward with great enthusiasm to increased co-operation with NYK and the future challenges in the reefer business."
