Chang Yung-fa receives honourary doctorate from Russian Academy of Transport

DR Chang Yung-fa, chairman of the Evergreen Group, has received an honourary doctorate of Transport and the title Honourary Academician from the Russian Academy of Transport.

The award was in honour of his contributions and innovations in international transportation, and his dedication to maritime education, a company statement said.

The Russian Academy of Transport confers such doctorates to commemorate major achievements by individuals in the field of transportation.

The Russian Academy of Transport unites scientists, professionals and managers who have made important contributions to both theory and practice in rail, highway, air, sea and pipeline transportation. Individual members include distinguished scientists and practical experts in areas of transport, and its collective members are educational institutions and companies that are leaders in the industry.

This is the sixth honourary doctorate to be conferred on Dr Chang.
