Hutchison Port Holdings, the container port operator held by Hutchison Whampoa, has won the bid to develop a deep-water container port in Pakistan.
HPH was among nine consortiums that bid for the Karachi Port Trust project.
The build-operate-transfer project located to the east of Keamari Groyne, will be built at a cost of US$550 million. The lease will be for 25 years and extendable for another 25 years.
