Sea of Japan coastal ports launch intermodal shipping links

THIRTEEN cities on the Sea of Japan in China, Japan, South Korea and Russia will jointly launch new shipping services to boost logistics development in the area.

The move comes after their representatives met at the recent 13th Sea of Japan Rim Major Cities conference in Huichun city in Jilin province, Xinhua reported.

A sea-land intermodal service from Huichun to Russia's Zarubino and South Korea's Sokcho had already been in operation for years.
