Dongnama Shipping becomes C& Line

SEOUL-based Dongnama Shipping Co Ltd has been renamed C& Line Co Ltd as part of a decision aimed at harmonising the names of subsidiaries within the C& Group, until last year known as the Seven Mountain Group, reports AXS-Alphaliner News.

Dongnama was purchased in October 2005 by Jindo Corp, a leading Korean container manufacturer, and has since been renamed C& Jindo.

The two companies are today divisions of the C& Group. The C& Group also includes C& Jindo (container manufacturing and steel production firm, formerly Jindo Corp), C& Merchant Marine, a bulk and tramp operator, formerly known as Seyang Shipping and C& Heavy, a new shipyard at Mokpo, Korea.
