Far Eastern Customs Administration got new equipment

The Far Eastern Customs Administration got four newest mobile inspection complexes (IDC)

As the Far Eastern Technical University press service reported to RIA PrimaMedia, IDC is technical device using ionizing radiation to get X-ray image of large cargos and transports.

In short time (3-5 minutes) IDC allows getting image of cargo transport without opening and unloading it and image of transported goods with characteristics that allow identifying transported goods, its structural elements, detecting contraband inside, and estimating approximate quantity of transported goods.

Russia hasn't great experience in mobile and fixed IDC use, but there are some results. Today Customs of Northwest and South Customs Administrations use mobile and stationary IDC.

The IDCs received were made in Germany and assembled on the base of a truck. The price of such complex is about 100 million Rubles.

In November specialists who will operate the new equipment, will be trained in St. Petersburg branch of RussianCustoms Academy. The representatives of IDC producer will take part in this training.
