Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Port Area passes pre-opening inspection

Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Area's first phase facility has been completed and passed an inspection of the central government, meaning the facility is about to become operational.

The first phase project covers an area of four square kilometres, including Tianjin Beigangchi Container Terminal phase 3 which has six berths and a logistics and processing park, said Xinhua.

Dongjiang Bonded Port Area was the largest bonded port area in China. The whole facility is expected to be finished by 2010, when it will cover an area of 10 square kilometres.
