Yantian welcomes maiden call of Evergreen's new East Med service

SHENZHEN'S Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) added the first service since the Chinese New Year when it welcomed the maiden call of Evergreen's new Asia-East Mediterranean (AEM) service on February 25.

The new service will provide direct shipping service from China to the fast growing Eastern European and Eastern Mediterranean markets, a company statement of YICT said.

Evergreen deploys seven 2,846-TEU vessels on the new regular weekly service, which calls Yantian every Tuesday.

Port rotation of AEM is: Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Tanjung Pelepas, Suez Canal, Haifa, Limassol, Piraeus, Istanbul, Port Said and Tanjung Pelepas.
