EASTERN China's Jiangsu provincial port of Dafeng Port has launched a new feeder container shipping to Shanghai and Lianyungang.
The service uses a 149-TEU ship with a weekly call at Dafeng Port, according to Logistics Week.
This is Dafeng Port's third feeder line that connects via larger ports in China to other ports in the world, providing greater convenience to shippers from hinterland regions in north and central Suzhou.
Dafeng Port has been operating two international lines to Korea's port of Incheon and Busan. During the first four months, the port handled 40 container ships with 3,918 TEU. Its annual throughput is expected to reach 20,000 TEU or 1 million tonnes by the end of this year.
