EVERGREEN will launch a new lane service AEM which connects Asia with Mediterranean Sea in September. The port rotation in Asia is Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha(Guangzhou) and Hongkong. And will call Haifa, Piraeus, Istanbul and Alexander ports,etc. It was said 7 vessels with 2500-3000 Teu respectively has been deployed in this lane service. And its first 2824 Teu vessel will depart from Shanghai on 1, Sep.

KLINE, YANGMING, CSCL and ZIM jointly launched a new Asia to Black Sea lane. This regular weekly lane will take its virgin sailing in middle of Sep with operation of 7 vessel respectively carries 4,000 Teu. There into, CSCL will deploy 4 vessels while other three carriers provide one vessel respectively.

Rotation will be:Shanghai(ETC on Fri)/Ningbo(ETC on Sat)/Shekou(ETC on Tue)/PKL(T/T:8 days)/Istanbul(T/T:22 days)/Constanza(T/T:25 days)/Ilychevsk(T/T:27 days).And provide transshipment service to Odessa and Verna via CND.

EVERGREEN and WANHAI will jointly operated JAPAN-THAILAND EXPRESS SERVICE (NSE/NS6) since this September to meet the increasingly growing cargo demand among Asian ports.At present, it marks out that totally three 900 TEU vessels, two are dispatched by EVERGREEN and one by WANHAI, will be deployed to offer steady cruise service. It was forecasted that UNI-AMPLE dispatched by EVERGREEN will take its first sailing with 21 days’ cruise time from Hongkong on 25th, Sep, which will call HongKong-Tokyo-Yokohama-Osaka-Kaohsiung-Hongkong-Hochiminh-LaemChabang-Hongkong.

Member shipping lines of the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) will levy an increase of US$350 per TEU and US$700 per FEU for both dry and refrigerated cargo, starting September 15 to its customers in China, Hongkong and Taiwan, with shipments to ports and points in Australia. This increase will apply in full on top of existing ongoing market rates and will be subject to accessorial surcharges applicable at the time of shipment, the 13-line group said. AADA members are: ANL Singapore, China Shipping Container Line, Cosco Container Line, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Marine,”K”Line, Maersk, MSC,MOL,NYK Line, OOCL, and Gold Star Line.
