Slovakia, Cuba enter new trade pact

Slovakia renewed its longstanding trade pact with Cuba last week, hoping to improve its lagging exports, according to newswire service AFP.

Over the years, Slovakia helped Cuba build about 40 percent of its power plants. The Eastern European country hopes the renewed trade pact will stimulate exports of transportation and wood cutting equipment to Cuba, AFP reported.
