China's trade surplus declining

The maritime customs administration published China's import and export status in the last 7 months on Aug. 11. According to customs, China's total value of imports and exports reached $1,482.11 billion by the end of June. In addition, it is 26.4 percent higher than the same period last year.


The value of exports reached $802.91 billion, 22.6 percent more than the same period of last year; and the import value was $679.2 billion, 31.1 percent more that the same period last year. The aggregate trade surplus value was $123.72 billion, 9.6 percent lower than the same period of last year, which means $13.1 billion less than last year.
