Located in the heart of the Kehin Industrial Zone, the City of Kawasaki has developed over the years to become a key economic and industrial contributor to the Japanese economy. Today, the city plays an increasingly important role as a hub of distribution , commerce and industry in great Tokyo Metropolitan area. The port of Kawasaki-the city's gateway to the sea- finds itself in a truly global position as a major center for the interchange of people,goods, and information. A number of plans are now underway in order to further enhance the port's function as a leading industrial and commercial port. The Kawasaki Port offers good access via well-developed networks of Xpwy not only to the Tokyo metropolitan area but also to other Kanto regions ,southern Tohoku cities and Yokohama city. It is a good location for the vessels that call at our port in the point of access. Track scales:two Even if in case which two vesseles (34,000G/T,17,000G/T) go into port and come alongside the quay simultaneously, the cargo work of the 2 vessels is also possible. Terminal area :245,000 square meters (700m×350m) Yard : Extensive enough of store 8,700TEU . Wharf: -14meters deep,with a 431 meter-long berth and an apron width of 30.5 meters Vessels: Can accomodate container vessels up to 50,000 DWT class(Number of loaded containers 4,000TEU class or more) Number of gates:Two entrance booths( to be increased to six) and two exit booths.( to be increased to four) Control wing:One wing with a container terminal system(CATOS), SEA-NACCS and EDI Van Pool (on site):1,865TEU(may be increased). All-weather inspection building:Allows simultaneously inspection of 18 containers.
