Perishable opportunity for Geodis

Geodis Wilson has been nominated as one of AstraZeneca’s preferred suppliers, to handle their sensitive airfreight volumes from the five European AstraZeneca production countries: Sweden, UK, Italy, France and Germany.

Geodis will control 60 per cent of the airfreight volumes out of these five countries during the two year contract. The revenue potential is estimated to be €20 million on an annual basis.

“What makes the assignment so special is the high level demand of temperature management, quality management and lead-time accuracy that apply for handling pharmaceuticals,” says Martin Svantesson, global account manager at Geodis Wilson.
