LARNACA Airport on Cyprus's southern coast increased its air traffic 15.8 per cent in February compared with the same month a year ago, according to the latest figures from the Civil Aviation Department.
In February 2007, airfreight rose 16.7 per cent year on year, and passenger numbers by 10.7 per cent.
Over at Paphos Airport in the west, air traffic shrunk by 0.2 per cent, air cargo fell by 42.7 per cent, although passenger numbers grew by 2 per cent in February 2008.
In January, air traffic at Larnaca Airport rose by 4 per cent, air cargo by 17.6 per cent and passengers numbers by 5.1 per cent compared with January 2007.
Air traffic at Paphos Airport increased by 6.3 per cent in January, air cargo grew by 23.2 per cent, while passenger numbers fell by 3.1 per cent, reports the Cyprus Financial Mirror.
