Taicang Yili Trading Logistics Investment Company has started developing the Taicang Logistics City.
The CNY380 million (US$50.17 million) facility is designed to cover an area of 88,000 square metres, with the space occupied by buildings providing 110,000 square metres of floor space, Logistics Week reports.
The first phase will cover an area measuring 71,000 square metres. It will serve as a provider of logistics information, trading, storage, distribution and transshipment.
The logistics city is expected to attract 400 companies to set up premises, generating an annual trading value of CNY1 billion.
