Schenker to set up office in Chengdu Aviation Logistics Park

A SENIOR manager from Chengdu Aviation Logistics Park says German logistics giant Schenker plans to set up an office in the park.

According to a Logistics Week report the facility, which covers an area of about 6.66 hectares, and includes an 18,000-square-metre warehouse and a 14,000-square-metre office building, is expected to open at the end of this year.

The unnamed senior manager added a second phase of the development was in the planning stages and that building would begin in the latter half of 2008.
