Tianjin customs service e-port is up and running

Tianjin e-port, which is a website portal for Tianjin customs that offers access to logistics information, has started operations, Xinhua reports.

Tianjin e-port has been connected to the computer network of Tianjin customs to provide shippers and freight forwarders with online customs clearance, e-commerce and logistics services.

The e-port will have additional functions added during its second phase of development.

Zhou Dehong, a director from the Tianjin Customs Administration, said the e-port system will further improve Tianjin customs' efficiency and reduce cost for importers and exporters.
