Guangxi's Fangcheng port saw its cargo throughput soar 72.8 per cent in the first half of this year to 23.67 million tons.
The result included 92,059 TEU, an increase of 57.5 per cent against the same period a year ago.
The throughput of provisions at Fangcheng port dropped in the first half of the year, however, all other bulk cargoes increased to varying degrees.
Coal throughput swelled by 197 per cent and chemical fertilizer volumes surged ahead by 150 per cent year on year.
