Port of Rizhao throughput up 20.5 pc through September

From January to September 27, the throughput of the Port of Rizhao, a harbour in northeast China's Shandong province, reached 97.9 million tons, up 20.5 per cent year on year.

According Xinhua News Agency, the growth in the port's throughput was a result of Rizhao Port Group's promotional effort in south Shandong province and other inland China cities, which has won the port more cargo.

The port is aiming to achieve a throughput of 200 million tons by 2010.
