SINGAPORE-listed Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has won a US$1.4 billion contract in the largest deal the China-based shipbuilder has received this year from China's Cosco Container Lines to build twenty 4,250-TEU containerships, reported Singapore's Channel News Asia.
This includes options for four ships to be delivered between 2011 and 2012. Yangzijiang said the contract is not expected to have a significant impact on its earnings this year.
