Asia’s first aircraft leasing trust is seeking to offer 693.4 million shares on the Singapore Exchange, its prospectus said on Saturday. Altitude Aircraft Leasing Trust is backed by General Electric unit GE Commercial Aviation Services.
The prospectus, lodged with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, said the trust will initially have 12 passenger planes leased to airlines in China and the Philippines, including Air China and Cebu Pacific.
Two cargo plans are also included, leased to Shanghai Airlines cargo and SIA Cargo, the freight unit of Singapore Airlines.
Lim Chin Beng, one of the founders of SIA as well as low-cost carrier ValuAir, will chair the trust’s board.
